We're back....

I think it said the last post was in September...no point in really having a blog if you aren't going to update it. So, I'll start with happenings in September and work my way to the present. Bridget and I went on a climbing trip to Devil's Tower and the Needles in September. Simply amazing. My wife is wonderful...it's great to share these experiences with her. A great friend of ours, a first class gentleman by the name of Dan Conley, made the trek west with us. While there we met a chap from England, Andy. We met Andy at Devil's Tower and talked him into climbing with us at the Needles. He may have regretted that decision, be we were greatful. If you're out there Andy and happen to read this, thanks for joining us. A Colorado contingency, great group of folks, also joined us at the Needles. Thanks to all for the great trip.

Piper has grown, way too fast I must say. She will be 22 months old on March 4th. She has also turned into a little hill billy. Notice that she is only wearing one sock in the photo. At least she is wearing clothes.

She has recently found great joy in the sport of naked running. It goes something like this, we try to change her and she runs away naked while laughing and giggling while saying "I naked" with us chasing behind. It is rather cute and it typically lasts for about 10 to 15 minutes until we force her to get dressed because we are afraid of slipping in a mess that she might otherwise make on the floor. Speaking of messes on the floor, we have entered the stage of potty training. Although she tries hard, loves to sit on the potty chair, she doesn't really understand the concept. She loves to sit on the chair, naked yet again, but then squats next to the chair to actually go potty. Again cute, but not always the easiest to clean up. I must say, she is an amazing little girl and has made me a much better person. I didn't see her much in February, traveling for work and one week of pleasure (Mexico), and I really missed her. Now, I've missed her before, but nothing like this. This most recent bout of missing included much mental/emotional pain and anguish. I had to ask Bridget to send pictures, pictures of both Piper and Bridget. It wasn't until I received the pictures that I was able to sleep. I would post the pictures Bridget sent me of herself but may not live to see tomorrow if I do. Can you say "hubba, hubba." Damn I am a lucky man!

Bridget and I also recently went to Mexico. We spent a week with her aunt (Carol), uncle (Pete), two cousins (Kristie and Daniel) and Sue (Daniel's wife). I must say that I questioned a week with the in-laws in Mexico. Who wouldn't? But they are wonderful people and it was a great vacation, full of laughter and love. We are definitely blessed, in many different ways. Well, time for me to say Adios for now.
You will hear from me again. I don't know if that is a promise or a threat. If you perceive it as a threat, you need not revisit our blog. By the way, this is my first time so be gentle. This blogging, especially the posting of photos, is not easy.
Ciao.
